Managing Your Profile and Account

How to update your name, email, and password, view your credit balance, and manage your PageScorch account.

Last updated May 10, 2026

Your account dashboard

After signing in, the main dashboard shows:

  • Your current credit balance (roasts remaining)
  • Your current plan
  • Your roast history with links to each result

From the sidebar navigation, you can access your profile settings, billing, and all PageScorch features available on your plan.

Updating your name and email

Go to Profile from the sidebar (or the avatar/name link in the top bar).

On the profile page you can update:

  • Display name — the name shown in your account and on reports
  • Email address — used for login and for receiving receipts and notifications

If you change your email address, you will need to verify the new address. A verification link is sent to the new email. Your account continues to work with the old email until the new one is verified.

Changing your password

From the profile page, find the Change Password section.

  • Enter your current password to confirm it is you
  • Enter the new password and confirm it
  • Save

If you have forgotten your current password, use the Forgot password link on the sign-in page. PageScorch will send a reset link to your registered email address.

Checking your credit balance

Your current roast credit balance is shown at the top of the dashboard and in the sidebar. It updates in real time after each roast.

To purchase more credits, go to the pricing page (linked from the low-credits notice when your balance is running low, or from the billing section of your account).

Viewing your roast history

All roasts run on your account are saved to your history. From the dashboard, you can:

  • See all past roasts with their conversion scores
  • Click any roast to view the full result
  • Re-roast a page directly from the history item
  • Delete a roast from your history if you no longer need it

Guest roasts (run without a signed-in account) are not saved to history.

Email notifications

PageScorch sends transactional emails for:

  • Email verification when you create your account
  • Password reset links
  • Payment receipts after a purchase
  • Delivery notification when an Expert Roast audit is ready

You cannot opt out of transactional emails. PageScorch does not send marketing emails unless you have explicitly signed up for them.

Deleting your account

To delete your account and all associated data, contact hello@pagescorch.com. Account deletion is permanent — your roast history, results, and any unused credits are removed and cannot be recovered.

Security

Password storage — passwords are hashed. PageScorch never stores plaintext passwords and cannot retrieve your current password.

Session security — PageScorch uses session-based authentication. If you believe your account has been accessed without your permission, change your password immediately and contact hello@pagescorch.com.

Two-factor authentication — not currently available. If 2FA is a requirement for your use case, contact hello@pagescorch.com.
